Darcy Higgins, MS, PT, Director

Darcy Higgins is the Director of Operations for SPECTRUM Physical Therapy’s out-patient clinics, and is the Clinical Director of our Greene clinic. Darcy has a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and Community Health from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College. He has been a member of the SPECTRUM Physical Therapy team treating out-patient orthopedic injuries for more than 20 years.

Darcy has advanced continuing education in orthopedic soft tissue and joint mobilization and individualized therapeutic exercise instruction. His special interests include “hands-on” treatment of back and neck issues, with integration of holistic functional training and return to activity guidelines.

Darcy, his wife and two children live on a community farm in Stanardsville where they enjoy outdoor recreational activities and farming. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Greene County School Board.

 

Theresa Hinton, PT

Theresa graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1980, with a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Physical Therapy. Her clinical practice has included all areas of patient care, with a focus on the outpatient setting.

Theresa's areas of interest are orthopedics (especially the knee and shoulder), neurology, geriatrics and fall prevention.

Chelsey Henslee, DPT

Chelsey is from Charleston, SC where she attended the College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness in 2006. She move to Myrtle Beach and worked at Atlantic Physical Therapy for 2 years as a rehab aide. She then attended The University of Saint Augustine for the Health Sciences in Florida where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011.

She currently lives in Charlottesville, VA and has been with the Spectrum team since May. She has a special interest in manual therapy, the spine, general orthopedics, and wellness. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, and traveling.

Jill Hall, LPTA

Jill Bradley Hall holds a B.A. in Dance from James Madison University, where she received the Dance Faculty Award. While a student, she was a member of the Associate Dance Ensemble, the Contemporary Dance Ensemble and the Virginia Repertory Company, a pre-professional touring company. She also served as the technical director of the dance department at JMU. Jill spent two summers training and working at the American Dance Festival as a stagecraft apprentice and then as a production intern under the direction of Bessie Award winner David Ferri

Jill received her PTA, degree from Mountain State University in 2011 and was awarded the Patsy Haslam Award for Academic Excellence. She is also a graduate of Blue Cliff College as a Certified Massage Therapist where she was the valedictorian.

Jill has performed professionally with Code f.a.d. Company, West Virginia Dance Company, Theatre West Virginia, Kitchen Sink Dance Company, and Absolute Dance Company. She has had guest performances with David Dorfman Dance in the world premiere of Underground and Deborah Riley Dance Projects. Jill continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Code f.a.d. Company. Additionally, Jill has taught and choreographed extensively throughout the east coast. Her work has been shown in New York, West Virginia, Mississippi and Virginia.
