Referral Requirements in Virginia
Virginia law requires a written referral from a physician, dentist, podiatrist or chiropractor for patients needing therapy services.
How to Make an Appointment
Contact the clinic nearest your home or work. Initial appointments can be arranged by phone by the patient or referral source. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 7AM to 7PM. Convenient and free parking is available at all
clinic locations. Written referrals can be faxed to the clinic by your physician or hand-delivered at your first appointment. To help facilitate the registration process you may print the following Patient Registration Form, fill it out prior to your first appointment and bring it in with you.

Treatment Approach
At your first appointment, our therapists will teach you about your ailment and describe the plan of care, giving you an estimate of how many visits you'll need, how often you'll need to come to therapy, and what will happen when you are in the clinic. We teach you symptoms-management strategies and a home program of exercises to improve strength, flexibility, posture and endurance. If necessary, we can use manual therapy techniques and modalities to decrease pain and inflammation and restore normal alignment and function. We emphasize proper body mechanics to optimize patient's alignment during daily living and work activities such as lifting, carrying and reaching in order to prevent future injury. Specialized exercise equipment is available for fitness training and assessment, athletic rehabilitation, functional capacity evaluations, and simulated work tasks.
Financial Policy
As a courtesy to our patients, SPECTRUM Therapy submits charges for services to the insurance company. We are participating providers with Aetna, Anthem Admin (Worker's Comp), Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Anthem Key Advantage and Key Care, Anthem Health Keepers, Beech Street, Champus/TRICARE, CorVel/CoreCare Select, FARA, Focus, First Health, Harleysville, J.J. Newman, MAMSI, Managed Physical Network, Medicare, Medicaid, MedRisk (Worker's Comp), PHCS, PMG, Southern Health, United Health Care, Virginia Health Network and Workhealth. We accept most health insurance and Worker's Compensation plans.
