Adult Rehabilitation: SPECTRUM Therapy provides Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy Services for outpatients with neurologic deficits, vestibular and balance disorders, amputations, arthritis, diabetes, general deconditioning and complicated medical and multiple trauma conditions at the Albemarle clinic location. Additionally, we provide Falls Prevention Screenings to community groups and Senior Centers.

 

Sports Medicine / Athletic Training Services: SPECTRUM Therapy provides athletic training services to the local high schools, including Albemarle High School, The Miller School, and William Monroe High School. In the outpatient clinics, we provide progressive sports medicine care to individuals at all levels, from the weekend warrior and recreational athlete to the High School and competitive elite athlete. We also provide sport-specific "performance enhancement programs" for golfers and runners. We also cover local sports events such as road races and work with recreational sports teams, educating their coaches and parents through workshops and seminars. We also work with local fitness facilities by offering injury screenings for their members.

 

Aquatic Rehabilitation: SPECTRUM Therapy provides aquatic rehabilitation for patients at the ACAC and Nelson clinic locations. The water environment allows for modified weight bearing activities, non-impact running simulation, buoyancy effects to counteract gravity effects, and water resistance to provide for strengthening and endurance training.

 

Women's Health: SPECTRUM Therapy provides services specific to health-related issues for women, including osteoporosis exercise classes, incontinence education and training, pelvic pain syndrome, post-mastectomy care, pre and post partum therapy and exercise instruction, and a Baby Your Back class for expectant and new mothers.
